Temporal Talbot Effect (Quantum Encryption Application)

A 19th-century optics phenomenon — originally describing the self-imaging of periodic light patterns at regular intervals — now applied to quantum key distribution. The April 2026 implementation uses multiple photon states and a single detector to increase data capacity and reduce system complexity relative to standard two-state quantum encryption.
